The first issue Velvet has long blond hair and purple eyes. She wears a purple sleeveless velveteen dress, taffeta or white cotton panties and purple t-strap shoes with a molded side buckle. The first issue black velvet doll has long black hair and wears a lavender sleeveless velveteen dress, taffeta or white cotton panties and lavender t-strap shoes with molded side buckles.
Each Velvet doll was packed in her box with small plastic rollers bobby-pinned to the sides of her head at the temples, each with a small amount of foundation hair. When the rollers were removed, they left small ringlet curls at the sides of Velvet's head. |
